Rake surfboards has colaborated with jordan nobel & sean nettleton from Note to produce 3 new models.  The first available is the Log,The Quad fish & displacement hull will follow over the next week or so.

Both Jordan and Sean are torquay locals who definitely know the art of carving foam blocks into fine looking sleds.  They also spend lots of time in the water testing & refining their shapes, which work as good as they look.

The new Log model was finished & polished to perfection by sean the prawn & is now available for custom ordering.  The board is based on the way the best old mals surf. It’s got a slight nose concave blending into a soft roll–deepest a third up from the tail, then easing to a flat from the fin back. The outline has a pronounced hip in the tail, which frees the board up to do tight flowing turns in the pocket & the rocker is a constant curve with a little flip in the last 12 inches of the tail.  Thin rails provide the board with sensitivity, which along with the rolled bottom, makes it sit lower in the water, providing a more connected experience when noseriding. This board should be ridden in and around the pocket and the deeper you get the better it will go.
