Transparent Sea Voyage Comes to an End in Bondi

Wow, blink your eyes and a month goes by. Meanwhile in that time, Dave Rastovich, Chris Del Moro, and the Transparent Sea Voyage crew sailed 700 kilometers by kayak to campaign against Japanese whaling in the Southern Oceans. Feels like we just ran a post announcing their launch and last week on November 5, they completed their journey.

Wooden Lis-Inspired Fish Raffle Today!

Tonight the family and friends of Jordan Kelly will join together at Corduroy Boutique, along with the Grain Surfboards family, to raffle off a lovingly crafted 5′4″ wooden Waka Fish. Proceeds from the tickets will benefit the Jordan Kelly Memorial Fund, which will provide opportunities for at-risk kids to learn the art of wooden surfboard building through a partnership between Stoked Mentoring and Grain. Update from the Transparent Sea Voyage

We made a post a little while back on the launch of the Transparent Sea Voyage, a tri-maran kayak trip organized by Dave Rastovich that follows the path of migratory humpback whales from Byron Bay to Sydney. The idea of the voyage is to raise awareness for the way the whales and other marine animals are threatened by commercial fishing and pollution. Here is a little update on their progress.

The Transparent Sea Voyage

Dave Rastovich will be launching his Transparent Sea Voyage today from Main Beach in Byron Bay. The voyage will see him and his crew on a 700 km paddle from Byron to Sydney, raising awareness for the plight of migratory humpback whales and other coastal pollution issues.
